I started dancing when i was 6 years old,mum said it would improve my toes and leg work for baton twirling.
So i started with ballet for the first year b4 i wanted to have a go at tap then modern dancing.
I now do street dance and singing/drama classes also.
Ithink the more i did the more i enjoyed it,and soon i was taking part in festivals,shows and exams o.m.g.
I am grade 3 for all my lessons.Except modern where i am grade 4
I belong to Centre School Of Dancing,the principal is miss lindsey, and other teachers are miss kay and miss laura,and i am lucky becoz they all teach me for different classes.
I have made lots of friends at centre stage expecially my duo partner abbie smith who is great.
Dancing is great as long as you enjoy what you do and have fun.
My dancing achievments are ;
Primary ballet exam;pass with a B
Primary tap exam; pass with a B
Grade 1 ballet exam;pass with a B
Grade 2 tap exam ; pass with a B
GRADE 3 modern exam pass with a B
Taken part in 3 festival competitions and won several gold,silver and bronze medals for my solos, duets ,trios and group dances.
I have danced at 4 shows with my group ,and two of those were at towngate theatre.
In 2005 at our end of year presentation i was awarded the otherall Tap Award.
And more recently at our end of year presentation in december i was awarded
MOST PROMISING DANCER 9-11 YEARS 2007 O.M.G,i was really surprised and my mum and dad were so happy with me,i think my mum was nearly crying,i was proud of my self,and thankful to miss lindsey.
2007 was my best year at dancing everyone said i was enjoying my dancing and smiling more at festivals,
Ihope i dance for lots more years to come as it is fabo rabo
my next dancing event is the blain morrison festival (i think i spelt it right)
this runs between mon 7th april to 11th april
i am doing 5 solos including solo song for the first time,two duets a trio and 5 groups i think,so i will be quite busy,i hope i do well.Iwill try my best.
At the festival i placed 1st in my modern solo (here i am pictured left with my medal)this was my first 1st place in a solo,i also placed 3rd in tap solo,and ballet duet ,and 1st in lyrical duet,my groups also won trophies,but i cant remember all the places.
